Christmas Hits North Hills International School with Festive Carols Night
Pupils of North Hills International School in a Play
The sounds and sights of Christmas – including festive costumes, and goat skin drums – resonated in the premises of North Hills International School at North Legon, as staff, pupils, and parents participated in the colourful and vibrant annual Christmas Carols.
The event which took place on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 is to usher the School community into the Christmas festive season.
Structured on pieces of scriptures from the Holy Bible, the programme recounted the story of Mary and Joseph up until the birth of Jesus Christ.
Selected Bible readings were delivered by key stakeholders within the North Hills International School community, including teachers, pupils, and parents.
The pre-school and primary pupils used their talents and abilities to ring in the spirit of Christmas; playing musical instruments, dancing, and singing.
Speaking to the theme “Christmas to Believe,” board member of the School, Deacon Godson, urged all in attendance to believe in Jesus Christ and do his will. This, he said, is the only way of attaining everlasting life.
According to him, when one receives Jesus Christ as a gift from God into his life, that person unlocks all the benefits that come with it; including undeserved forgiveness from God.
Addressing the audience, the General Manager of North Hills International School – Ms. Bernice Ayim expressed her pleasure that parents, staff, and pupils, hailing from different backgrounds, cultures and religions, were united on a single stage to perform and celebrate Christmas in one accord.
She beseeched the audience to use the holiday season to focus and reflect on the blessings received from God.
“We have much to celebrate and be thankful for. Christmas is about sharing God’s love and peace,” she said.
The night ended with fabulous performances from both teaching and non-teaching staff.
